Views of Joy Photography Class Information
Instructor: Joy Augeson
Profile: I have been interested in photography for more than 30 years.
My 1st love was the dark room in high school. I had my own darkroom in my home for many years.
My first camera was an EF Nikon 35mm. I have worked with medium format cameras as well as large format film cameras. I have several digital cameras now, all Nikon.
Business History: I started my photography business when I was 25 years old. I specialize in weddings, family, children and high school senior portraits.
I have expanded my photography to teaching classes to people that want a one-on-one experience and want to learn the basics on how to run their cameras on manual settings.
I will teach you how to use: aperture/shutter speed/ISO/depth of field and composition.
You will learn how to use these settings for the photo you desire.
I urge you to learn the basics of your camera, so we do not have to spend class time on that.
My goals for your photography class: My class style is a hands-on approach. Being a photographer is very visual, so I like to take photos as we learn, so you can visually see the effects.
There will be class time where we will go over the basics of your cameras manual settings. We will talk about how far you are in your photography journey.
I give my students a 3-ring binder with details on what we will learn in class. This is for you to take home and have as a guide.
We will spend an hour going over settings and will work in the studio on lighting
Weather permitting, we will go outside and learn how to use the combination of manual settings to get your desired photo.
I would like to have a follow up class, where we can meet on-location, take photos, have fun, and learn at the same time.
If you are interested in booking a class, or have any questions, please let me know.
